Popular WordPress hosting service WP engine has been hacked. I am a proud WP engine customer, great company, great people, sad news but something I wanted to share for all the WP engine customers out there. I use a very cool service that I highly recommend to other bloggers called Clef that adds two-factor authentication to WordPress blogs which means you’re immune to events like these.
All that being said, if you have sites hosted on WP engine now is the time to change your password and check to make sure you haven’t already been hacked. Here’s the latest from WP engine:
