Domain Monetization 101 – The Five Steps To Effective Domain Monetization

by Morgan on June 2, 2010

I’m excited to announce the completion of my latest e-book – Domain Monetization 101. This book was inspired by all of the readers that I’ve corresponded with via email and telephone – each asking the same question – “What is the best way to monetize my domains?” In each of these conversations I felt like I was repeating a lot of the same information – I needed one source, one book I could recommend that would have the basics of domain monetization. I have plenty of posts about monetization but I’d have to recommend a series of posts rather than one simple resource.

One thing I’ve learned from my blog is that people like learning from step-by-step guides. There are so many books and articles out there with long drawn-out explanations of simple concepts – I wanted to keep the simple concepts simple and accessible. In five easy steps I walk the reader through identifying which domains are a good fit for monetization and then show all the completely free resources you can use to build a great-looking site. The first two steps are essential and where I see most new Domainers go wrong – not every domain is a great fit for monetization, it is essential that you pick the domains with the best revenue potential.

Of course there is something very unique about this book that I think separates it from almost every book in its category – I’m giving it away for free. That’s right – I’m making the book completely free with the goal of providing a very high-quality product that will help everyone get started with Domain Monetization. It’s not a long book and while it did take me over a month to put-together it should take most people under an hour to read.

One of the biggest challenges in writing a book like this is making it accessible to a wide range of experience levels. To that extent I’ve tried to make the book move quick-enough that more experienced users won’t get bored (and will probably learn a few things along the way!) and beginners will be able to understand the fundamentals.

So if you’ve ever wanted to learn more about Domain Monetization read my latest book – Domain Monetization 101 – it’s completely free so you really do have nothing to lose!

Morgan, I have to applaud you. This book is not only very valuable. It is easy to read. Very actual. A Blueprint how to write an ebook. Thank you very much for publishing it this way. One point I want to add: Reseller CPanel is a very good point to get started. If you have a number of good sites receiving serious traffic you should put them on a VPS hosting with a dedicated IP. Lets say, the top 10% sites of a domainer (who develops the domains with content) should be on a clean hosting with a dedicated IP. I learned it the hard way, and had a bad experience, where a bad neighbourhood (on a CPanel Reseller Hosting where hundreds of sites share IP and server) was bringing killing the ranking, SERP, traffic and revenue within a few weeks. It took me 3 months to “repair” the situation with putting the valuable sites back on a “clean” hosting (VPS or dedicated with dedicated IP). Thanks again for the brilliant book. Greetings from Vienna, Austria Robert Redl

Morgan,

I downloaded your E-Book, but it look like only the first page have correct content: a picture, like picture in this post, then your photo on a circle.

Then page 2 until 19 is messy.
In general, there is a messy bars, commas, boxes, and “fff” on those pages.

But at some pages, I found:
Page 7: Moniker logo.
Page 9: HostGator and WooTheme logo.
Page 10: ThemeForest, Thesis, StudioPress and Affiliate Theme logo.
Page 13: AmazonAssociate and Commission Junction logo.
Page 14: AZN, ClickBank, PepperJam, and Kontera logo.
Page 15: LeadPile logo.

Thanks.
