Domainvestors.tv Episode #29: Interview with John Chow from JohnChow.com

by Morgan on January 19, 2010

I am excited to share my first interview from the Affiliate Summit West 2010! My first interview is with one of the most famous bloggers in the world and a personal favorite of mine – John Chow from JohnChow.com! John has been able to make over $40,000/month blogging and there is a lot that Domain Investors, Affiliate Marketers, and of course Bloggers can learn from his success!

I would like to give a BIG thanks to John for taking the time to be on the show! John has been a great inspiration for me and after meeting him in person I am more inspired than ever!

Great interview Morgan! Interesting point that John’s mailing list accounts for the majority of his income.

Glad you were able to grab an interview with him. Definitely a great step for the domain investor television show. Keep it going!

Great stuff Morgan – see you at DomainFest

Great interview! It’s nice to see the domain industry evolve with quality content like your producing.
Best.

Great Interview!!! Can’t wait for the rest.

Morgan, you should have taught him about buying typo domain names. I came across johncow.com today, some guy by the name of Jason is making money off John Chows popularity.

Morgan January 20, 2010 at 4:51 pm

Thanks @Steve – much appreciated! Will you be at TRAFFIC or DOMAINfest?

Hey Morgan, if your impressed with how John does an interview and the way he makes his money on his blog – you would be shocked to see exactly how he does it. When I spent 2 weeks with him on TAC I saw first hand how he blogs and it was amazing. He truly loves what he does!

The problem is, making money from one blog is not easy to do anymore. Almost every niche has been covered and covered well. If you were not able to get into the space a few years ago, it’s going to be hard to get any type of authority in what ever niche you chose. Good luck and congrats to anyone who does succeed!!

Morgan January 22, 2010 at 2:46 am

Thanks @Collin – excellent point – I certainly agree. I just blog for fun since Domaining is my business not blogging :)
