In this video I discuss an absolutely essential topic in Domain Investing – understanding how much your domains are really worth. Many new Domainers will oftentimes register hundreds of domains thinking they are all worth thousands or tens of thousands of dollars. In many cases, if the domain was still available to register – it is not worth much for than the reg fee you paid – or could be worth even less!
So how can you determine how much your domains are worth? This is not as hard as you might think. In fact, the process is very similar to that which real estate investors use – find the selling price of domains similar to yours. There are two great tools available online for doing this – the first is DNJournal.com that keeps a Domain Sales list, and the second is NameBio which will let you search for specific keywords in a domain name and see corresponding sales.
By having realistic price expectations you can not only sell more domains, but you can show a buyer why your domain is worth the price you are expecting. Watch this video and start selling for your domains for what they are really worth!

Well done Morgan. You nailed it. Excellent advice. Looking forward to watching more of your videos.
Morgan,
You should consider creating a DVD series about domaining. These videos are definitely a great asset to the domaining community. Keep up the great work and if you decide to create a domaining series, feel free to let me know and I will help promote it for you.
Jason
You mentioned namebio.com to use for comparing sales, not sure if you know about dnsaleprice.com too. I use both along with dnjournal when comparing domain sales. dnsaleprice tends to have many sales not mentioned on namebio.
Thanks Chris. Haven’t heard of DNSalePrice.com – great resource and appreciate you letting me know about it!
