eBay Quietly Adds Bitcoin, Miners, and Mining Contracts

eBay made an interesting move last week adding support for buying and selling virtual currencies like Bitcoin as well as related products and services like miners and mining contracts.

I can tell you eBay certainly doesn’t seem to put much thought into look-and-feel, but it’s clear they are trying hard not to highlight this new addition. All items listed in the virtual currency category are shown as classified ads, so no, don’t expect an amazing next-generation virtual currency market from eBay, yet.

That being said, eBay has a lot of traffic and as the virtual currency markets are still heating up. Still though, did they really have to make it look like a site built in 1998?
