Internet Users By Country

As many of you know I’m a bit of a data addict. I also love traveling the world, and I’m a big Internet geek, so put these together and you’ll understand why this is one of my favorite infographics on the planet (some pun intended). What I think is interesting about this that applies directly to the domain space is the fact that while we are often very US-centric, it’s hard to ignore that there are more Internet users in China and this number is growing every day.

Also, even though .DE may be the king of ccTLDs there are more Internet users in Japan which ranks #3. When I see data like this I always think about ow these trends will change over time and how this will impact the domain industry. Over the last few years we have seen strong investment interest from China and I think this trend will only accelerate going forward.

Enjoy the data and feel free to pass it on!

In 2012 Morgan left his full-time job to co-found Fashion Metric, a startup building technologies that make it easy for online shoppers to buy clothes that fit and arming retailers with more data than ever before.

I shudder when I think of how we made sense of anything without infographics!
Great find, and very revealing info.
    Thanks, Morgan!
