Morgan,
Thanks for sharing! As someone who's just getting started on the sales side of the domain game (so far have just been a developer), this will really help me get off to a great start.
All the best,
Ian

I have not been doing this long. But i noticed that the general attitude of most domainers is to be secretive and very vague in describing strategies they employ. The only thing they give details about are their visits to"domainer conventions" and their impressions of "good domains". These people do not seem to realize that they can offer useful info and grow the industry without hurting their own profits. Frankly i sense a kind of elitism on their part. They are "domain elitists" who seem to think that if you dont have "killer names" and hob nob at conventions with other "killer name" owners then you are not a domainer. The whole thing is ridiculous. Domainers meeting with domainers to talk about and sell domains to other domainers. I would think the real value would be discussing how to get more end users into these conventions. But I digress. I really wanted to thank you, Linton, for your consistent efforts to help the industry by offering info, best practices and strategies. It is much appreciated. Keep up the good work and all the best for 2010.
