Last week I asked all of you to help me pick a logo for a new brand we are launching – TutorialsForGeeks.com. The feedback was phenomenal with 39 comments and lots of great input and ideas. So I’ve taken the feedback that I received, found what seemed to be the most popular recommendations, and went back to my designer (LogoNerds) with a revision request.
Now I have three new concepts based on your feedback, and it’s time to take the next step! Now is where you come-in again! Take a look at the new revisions and let me know if you think any of these are ready for prime-time, or if you think we still need to make some adjustments. I can make more revision requests if it looks like we’re still off the mark a bit so don’t hesitate to rip these apart and suggest what you think would look the best!
Also – a huge congratulations to Melly Walker and William Brister who won free logos last week! I plan on doing this monthly so you can expect to have the chance to win a free logo (or two) once a month.
Now it’s time to be critical, be harsh, and let me know how to make this logo really shine!

First one. Definitely Morgan
#1 FTW!
Numero Uno. (For Geeks: Binary 1)
Concept 1 for sure.
I like #1. The border makes it more “solid” looking in my opinion.
#1 for sure…but…I would change the color of the word “For” as it reads/looks right now is to mushed together. Perhaps a matching blue for his eyes or green even for the word “For” would make it much more legible.
Of course Number 1
First one by far.
Number one, but I agree with NatureHands that the word “for” is kind of mushed together with the word geeks.
Do they supply the source (PSD?) files with your completed logo?
#1 for sure – personally it might be good to see the “FORGEEKS” part written “forGeeks” – easier to read and helps the keywords stand out nicely.
#1
Thanks for all the great feedback…I think I know what the winner is!! Great point about “FOR” – I think this will look much better once it’s lower case! Get ready, final logo to come!!
First one as the other two make the black stand out to much for my eyes.
I like the first one, it pops!
Numero 1. But, I would find a way to separate the two words, For and Geeks. Capitalizing? Shifting one word up or down, or maybe writing one in one line and the other in the next line. When I read it, it is confusing, FORGEEKS tends in my mind to be perceived as one word. I know, there’s no word FORGEEKS, but it may be confusing. I an logo, I think clarity is important.
Love the first one…though he is not a geek until we see some pocket protectors!
