Thanks for your comment Jeff. I hear what you are saying but I think that strong type-in traffic could allow people to register domains that could make thousands of dollars a year as do many generic .com’s. It is definitely too early to know but I’m going to be investing in this space and I’ll share the results with my readers as always.

Don’t understand why this excites you.

.co/.om/.cm will just become namespaces for spammers and phishing attacks. You’ll also lose a ton of traffic to the .com.

Maybe with a strong generic you could earn a few dollars with a parking page, but it’s certainly no good if you want to build a real website with a real brand.
