10 Million Beta Users Later – Vessel.io Goes Live

Vessel.io Site

Test, test, and test again. That’s exactly what Mobile A/B Testing platform Vessel.io did to the tune of 10 million beta users.  Among those users are companies big and small including some real powerhouses like online radio service Tune In. Today the company announced that they are going live, the testing is done and the platform is ready for primetime.

The Vessel team believes its ability to roll out the winning tests to users within seconds gives it a leg up in a market that has seen quite a few new players lately (though Deshpande argues that his company already grew larger during its beta period than most of its competitors). It’s pretty clear that Vessel is already taking off, now the question is will they stick with a .IO domain or will they make a move to get the .COM. Currently Vessel.com is being used for a Yoga Coaching/Classes website which means they probably won’t be looking for an exorbitant amount for the domain, but like anything in the Domaining world, you never know until you ask.

In this case I think that it does make sense for Vessel.io to go after the .COM. It would be easy enough for a Yoga Coaching site to move to a different domain and since Vessel does have a web presence and definitely will be using the web to acquire new customers I think the .COM is pretty important here.

What do you think? Should Vessel stick with .IO or is Vessel.com in their future? Comment and let your voice be heard!
