20.com to be Auctioned January 5, 2016

Internet entrepreneur Jason Calacanis is getting ready to auction off one of the best domain names you can buy, 20.com.

Calacanis purchased the name for $75,000 around 7 years ago. Calacanis joined Namepros a month ago and asked for opinions on the name, he made it clear he did not have to sell but would be open to a deal with the right buyer.

Jason has now put an auction together for 20.com.

Interested parties must go to https://launchevents.typeform.com/to/NPoTVk

We are hosting an auction for 20.com on January 5th with a goal of breaking $5m. If you are interested in being invited to the auction you can signup here.

    @M,

    Yes, but think of the 7-year maturation. Plunking down $75,000 when future value is so uncertain … and holding onto the asset despite (I’m sure) having received plenty of offers above the initial purchase price. For many, that’s too long a wait and too much risk.

    1 question would be this: What domain could you buy today for $75k and sell for 7 figures in the year 2023 A.D.?

    Thanks Scott I mentioned 7 years because Jason wrote 7 in the Namepros post.
