3 Ways To Find End-User Buyers For Your Domain Names

I get a lot of questions from blog readers about how to find potential end-user buyers for their domains. Since I’ve been answering these individually I thought it was time to write a quick post about three ways to find end-user buyers for your domains. Of course at the end of the day it is the quality of your domains that matters so if you find that you’re not getting any bites, you may have to look at the calibre of names you are presenting.

One lesson that I learned big-time last year is that when it comes to end-users, it really is all about .COM. I have found that I get exponentially more responses for .COM names vs. any other TLD because this is what most end-users know, love, and want. So if you’re looking for end-user buyers for your domains, below are three ways to get started:

  1. Google – this is the #1 way that I sold domains to end-users last year. Do a Google search for the keywords in your domain and see who is advertising for these exact terms. If companies are willing to pay good money to rank well for the exact terms in your domain name, there’s a chance they’d be interested in owning the domain and saving some money on advertising.
  2. Estibot Lead Generation Tool – this is one of the coolest tools out there for finding end-user leads and I’ve made some solid sales through leads I found using this tool. It is incredibly easy to use, just enter your domain and Estibot will recommend potential buyers.
  3. Domain Broker – there are a few domain brokers that specialize in selling domains to end-users. Of course your names will have to be up to snuff in order for them to take them on, but if you have good names brokers can help you move them. I highly recommend Domain Advisors, Toby Clements, and Andrew Rosner, all do an excellent job, but remember you’ll need to have really solid domains.

As always I love to hear from you, my readers! Feel free to comment and share techniques you’ve used to find end-user buyers or ask any questions that you have! Comment and let your voice be heard!
