Some deals are made in boardrooms, others at Starbucks, some on golf courses, and plenty at upscale restaurants. Well, as you know I like to do things differently and I’m excited to announce a new partnership made in between swimming with stingrays and jet skiing in Grand Cayman!
It was there, in the midst of crystal the clear water of Grand Cayman that Paul and I finalized our partnership. I first met Paul in England last year at the Meet Domainers event in Manchester. We hit it off right-away and now, a little over a year later we’ve found a great way to work together and bring something great to the Domaining community.
Paul runs an amazing website and resource very near and dear to my heart, iGoldrush.com. This is one of the very first sites that I discovered in the Domaining industry and it is one of the go-to resources I send friends, family, and clients to when they want to learn about Domaining.
When Paul and I were in Grand Cayman during DNCruise 2011 we put our heads together – we are both so passionate about education, what could we do together to make an impact? Domain Development has probably been one of the hottest topics of the year and it’s been my focus in the industry since day one. Paul has done a great job of keeping iGoldrush.com up-to-date with the latest information as the industry grows and changes. So we knew development would be a great focus, but how can we really add value – video.
As you guys already know I’m a bit of a video nut. I think that video is one of the most effective ways to communicate and educate, especially topics where viewing a demo could really help to explain a concept. In video lessons you can switch between yourself talking to the viewer to your screen where you can show exactly how to do a technique or task you are describing. Every month I will be recording a new video taking you deeper into the world of Domain Development and sharing lots of in-depth tips and tricks.
Episode #1 is live at iGoldrush.com, that’s right – you can watch it right now!
The first episode is an introduction to Domain Development and will probably be the only episode which won’t be split between my talking head and on-screen demos. I wanted to give an overview of development and the three categories of sites I’ll be focusing on in this series.
I think many Domainers can become overwhelmed with the number of different ways they can develop and monetize their domain names. Through this video series I look forward to simplifying the process and giving Domainers a good tool set and structured path for developing their domains. I couldn’t think of a better partner to bring this to the masses with than Paul Goldstone and iGoldrush.com!
As always I’d love to hear from you! How can we make this monthly series the best that it can be! What specific topics interest you the most? Comment and let your voice be heard!
