A Quick Look At Where My Blog Traffic Comes From

I am constantly looking at where my traffic is coming from, it helps me better understand how people are finding my site and what articles and topics resonate the best with my audience. Today I was looking over my stats for this blog and thought it would be fun to share what percentage of my blog traffic comes from each referrer. This means I’m pulling the direct navigation traffic out of picture and looking at people who get to my site through another site, the data is shown below:

Search Engines – 67%

Domaining.com – 20%

Facebook.com – 4%

NameBee.com – 4%

Domainsville – 1.8%

DomainNameSales.com – 1.4%

Other – 1.8%

Feel free to share your own traffic breakdown or ask any questions you have in the comment section below. Comment and let your voice be heard!

I always catch your posts of Facebook but within the tablet app. I don’t think you (and me in my case) get credit for those- worse ads are filtered out and navigation is blocked. Bigger pubs have a “open site in Safari” button

Really good point @Owen, I always felt like my FB traffic % looked too low.

Very interesting. Your post reminded me of the importance of putting aside what we do as individuals and thinking that’s what the masses do.

I am part of the 20% that reads your blog religiously via domaining.com and expected the referrals from domaining.com to be MUCH higher.

Thanks for the reminder. as a mentor of mine would always say to me “is that your answer or theirs?”
