Are you a Domainer in Southern California? Come to our last MeetUp of 2010 in Beverly Hills!

That’s right, after a few months on hiatus the Southern California Domainers Group is back in action and ready for our best MeetUp yet! We know that December can be a tricky month because of the holidays so decided to have our MeetUp on December 15th. To end the year with a bang we’re excited to announce both a Guest Speaker and a Sponsor for this event! We are nailing-down the venue as we speak but have decided it will be in Beverly Hills to make it as easy as possible for everyone to attend.

Our Guest Speaker at the MeetUp will be Braden Pollock, a domainer that owns several companies, both online and off. Among his businesses is Legal Brand Marketing, LLC which focuses on DUI and legal marketing, primarily through online lead generation. He also owns Smart Start, an ignition interlock provider, with service locations throughout the country. His domain portfolio numbers in the neighborhood of about 10,000 and is rapidly expanding.

The sponsors for this MeetUp are Aftermarket.com and TrafficZ who happen to be located in West Los Angeles just a few blocks from my house! Representatives from the company will be attending the event and sharing with members some of the exciting things they’re doing. Aftermarket.com is a brand-new venture and it’s already turning-into a major domain marketplace! TrafficZ is one of the top parking platforms out there…oh and they’re doing a conference next year in the Bahamas 🙂

After the guest speaker and sponsors present attendees will have the chance to mingle with other Domainers, enjoy a cocktail and some appetizers and do what we do best, talk Domains! After many successful MeetUp’s this year Jason and I are both thrilled that we were able to end the year with our best MeetUp yet and where better than Beverly Hills! Hope to see you there! To attend this MeetUp please visit our MeetUp site and RSVP.

MeetUp Date: December 15th, 2010
MeetUp Location: Beverly Hills TBD
MeetUp Time: 6:00PM – 9:00PM

It is very important to RSVP if you are going to attend.

As soon as I saw this, I called Virgin America & United to try to get a flight (from DC). The only problem is that I have an event here from 11-1 that day, and I can’t reschedule it. The only flight I found that would have worked would get me into LAX at 5:43p.m., and with a 45 minute cab ride (closer to an hour in rush hour traffic), I’d have to miss the first hour.

I really would have loved to attend. I could use some insight about developing legal domains, and I know Braden’s the guy for that. I was serious about flying out just for this – it’s too bad I wouldn’t be able to catch an earlier flight. Looking forward to reading a full report here when it’s over. 🙂

Wow – thanks @Nadia – it is incredible that you would do this – I really appreciate the interest!!

Don’t worry – we can setup something for next year and make sure you get to meet Braden while you’re here. Any chance you’re coming to DOMAINfest?

Hi, Morgan. I was planning on coming to DOMAINfest, but sadly, I can’t go. Work scheduled a concert that weekend, so unfortunately that’s not a weekend I can take off.

I will be at Domain Roundtable in the Bahamas, though. Tickets are already booked and I’m just waiting for them to announce registration (which should be soon). So if anyone wants a conference & vacation rolled into one, I’ll see you there! 🙂
