Well the moment we’ve been waiting for has finally come, tomorrow is Mutants and the team over at Bored Ape Yacht Club just shared the details that we’ve all been waiting not-so-patiently for. So here’s the scoop.
The launch will Airdrop of Mutant Serums (how cool is that!!) will take place at 5:00pm EST. A snapshop will be taken of all bored apes an hour earlier at 4:00pm EST. The team wanted to note that there is not advantage to moving apes around to separate wallets. The launch itself will take place at 6:00pm EST. Here’s the official announcement from the Discord:
I know what you’re going to ask next, what the heck is Mutant Serums?
Nobody knows anything about Mutant Serums except for the fact that they will be insane. That being said, we know that this all has something to do with breeding so my guess is people will get different serums that will allow them to create different types of mutations and breeds of apes. Once again, just a guess, no insider knowledge here.
Also I’d like to dispel a rumor that’s been going around w/respect to Mutants. There seems to have been some confusion around the role dogs would play here. From everything I’ve seen you do not need to have a dog (i.e. BAKC) to participate in Mutants. I think the confusion started because there is something in Roadmap v2 around having an ape and a dog, but that doesn’t seem to have anything to do with Mutants or Mutant Serum.
I have cleared my calendar for tomorrow, and I’m already really excited, the Mutants are coming, or the Mutant Serum, or both – I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. One thing I do know is that the whole crew at Bored Apes has been working non-stop on this so it should be something awesome.
