CNBC Covers Popularity of Bitcoin-related Domain Names

An hour ago CNBC released a story about the popularity of Bitcoin-related domain names. While I can’t actually seem to play the video itself right now, my guess is we’ll see it pop up on You Tube or somewhere else soon.

What I think is so interesting to see here is the incredible media interest in Bitcoin which I think in many ways expands additional markets, domain names being one of them. Let’s be honest, five years ago a domain name starting with the word “coin” wasn’t that exciting…now it’s all the rage.

I wrote an article back on December 9th about how the incredible rise in Bitcoin’s price was impacting the price of Bitcoin related domain names. With 22 comments it seems like the general consensus was – yes, Bitcoin-related domains will continue to rise in price. Now with CNBC covering the popularity of these domains I can see nothing but more good news for the owners of Bitcoin-related domains.

Either way, it’s an exciting time to be both a domain investor and cryptocurrency investor and something tells me it’s only going to get more interesting.

nice get, ill have to ff ahead since i keep CNBC about somehwat behind.

i think if theres an edge to speculative domain investing thats helped me with the buyers remorse over selling to BTC too early.. is that with BTC so high its a wealth management play, with downside and upside..

but when, and im talking about two word combos, not names like BTC.com, Koin.com etc, i think i can still create value and wealth from reg fee with domains, 100x upside with $8 downside.

    we’ll see in 2018.

    thanks for the post.

    Here’s a better link, including story: https://www.cnbc.com/2017/12/19/bitcoin-related-names-dominated-among-website-domains-registered-in-november.html

Video seems to work now, though it isn’t much
