Domain Roundtable Auction Video Coverage – One Step Closer To Being Here In The Bahamas!

The live auction at Domain Roundtable was a success today as the new platform ran beautifully and over 50% of the domains sold! Although I’ve been fighting with You Tube and the Bahamian Internet connection all day, I’m happy to say I’ve won a small battle and managed to upload a short video from the auction.

I made a promise to bring all of you as close to the action as possible and I’m happy to share this video with you. I have to say I was really impressed with the Aftermarket.com platform, not only did it run flawlessly but the look-and-feel is awesome and makes it easy to see important stats, bidders, and upcoming names all on one screen. The chat room was also a lot of fun and I enjoyed talking with some of my other Domaining buddies who were joining the auction remotely.

Tonight the Official Bahamian Junkanoo Festival Party begins at 7:30PM. This is a traditional Bahamian festival complete with local food, performances, and of course some great Bahamian music. After the Jankanoo festival Moniker and Snapnames are hosting the Official Domain Roundtable after-party at a club called Aura at Atlantis. It’s going to be a great way to end a truly spectacular conference!

Congrats to Jamal, Laura, Ammar and the rest of the DRT team on a successful domain auction. The interface was smooth to view, the catalog was priced right for 2011 and the 50+% sell-thru is exactly the metric to showcase.

    Congrats!

similar to one who would auction fine art

actually, not just bigging you up Morgan, haven’t met you yet, (and I know you’re not a Brit) but I think you would make a cracking job of being an auctioneer. you have the energy!
Thanks for the updates on this conference

Gotta love those live auctions, especially when they are successful. Looks like everyone is having a blast down there in the Bahamas. 🙂
