Domaining SEO Sunday: Three Post-Panda SEO Tips

Good evening everyone and welcome to another edition of Domaining SEO Sunday! As you all know, or should know by now, we are living in a post-Panda world. Yes, Google made some major changes to their algorithm and the rules of the game have changed. I’ve had a ton of readers emailing in asking what they should be focusing on now that Google made the change.

There are a lot of things you can do to rank well in the post-Panda world we are living in but I thought it would be a good idea to share three essential tips to help everyone get moving in the right direction.

  1. Unique Content – this is #1 on the list and has been for some time. Sites with unique content, updated regularly, get the most love from search engines. This makes sense since it is sites with fresh unique content that tend to have the most relevant information.
  2. Go Social – if you’ve been ignoring Social Media you are now officially missing the boat. Search engines are looking very favorably on sites that are active in the Social Media world, remember Facebook was the most visited site in the US in 2010!
  3. High-Quality One-Way Links – high-quality, legitimate one-way links have been and always will be good. Search engines like to see that you’re doing something that other people are talking about. You really can’t get these any other way than doing something truly unique and wonderful that makes other people write about what you’re doing.

Sounds like the game has become more challenging? It has, in fact some may even say, Game Over when it comes to SEO. I don’t think it’s Game Over but I do think it’s time to take a step back, look at how the game has changed, and change your own game accordingly.

Okay, now it’s Sunday evening – get back to some well-deserved R&R and stop being a geek 🙂
