Domainvestors.tv Episode #26: Passive Income and Domaining

This video is about what is quite possibly my favorite topic in the world – passive income! In this video I’ll discuss the importance of setting-up a system for making money with domains. I also discuss the concept of being self-employed vs. being a business-owner which can be used interchangeably but oftentimes are two very different concepts.

Below are a few articles written about the topic I’m discussing in this video:

Great job Morgan – you discuss some very extremely valid points that most overlook….passive income is fantastic! They key to finding something that works is learning how to scale it….

I have created several successful web based program, the only issue for me is when direct sales was an intrical part as I don’t have my own ‘sales team’ as it relates to my domain portfolio….

Anyone have some tips and insights into how you scale that or find the right partner?

New player is great, keep the content flowing….

Thanks for your comment @Troy. I only do one video per week, everything else is text. My suggestion would be to forget that it’s a video and let it run in the background so you can just listen to it.

This is the reason I decided not to go 100% video on my blog since I know that most people still like to read! That is changing but it will definitely take some time 🙂

I like the new player. How much is the business service and can you place ads on it?

Thanks @Patrick! The business service is $100/month and you can place ads on it. I’m probably not going to put ads on it to start but in the future.

    Great post here Morgan!

Having your own business it the best. There are risks but heck, one must be willing to take some risks to be able to grow and succeed. Challenges suppose to keep us standing!

    Thanks for this…

Thanks @Menandro – I completely agree. The risks are well worth the reward – but it definitely takes persistence. At the end of the day it is so satisfying when your ideas become a reality – if only there were more hours in the day!

I see a lot of people liked the new player but it’s bad news for since I often read your blog on my iPhone and the new player does not show. Any chance you would still post a YouTube version of your weekly videos for your mobile visitors??

    Morgan,
Absolutely awesome video! Can’t wait for your book to come out to learn more about your automation strategies. I think it’s really easy in our industry to get caught up in the day to day, thanks for the perspective. Here’s my strategy: take my passive incom from my SEO sites and invest it in high yielding stocks. That way I get even more passive income (compounding effect) and diversification!
    Best,
    Ian
