Domainvestors.tv SEO Week: Day 1 – Get Links!

In preparation for my contest that starts this Saturday, I will be offering an SEO tip each day on my blog. The idea here is to help give everyone a fair chance at the contest as well as share some great SEO tips with new Domainers. Rather than writing a long detailed post I’m going to compile quick tips that you can use to help rank better in search engines. If you want to know more about how to grow domain investments you’ll have to read my book.

One factor that most search engines use to determine rank is the number of sites linking back to your site, along with the quality of those sites. Believe it or not, you can get some *very* credible sites to link back to your site and you don’t even have to beg for it! Two great examples of this are Digg and StumbleUpon. These are different sites but they both offer easy ways to get a free link to your site or blog post.

All you have to do is sign-up for a free account with Digg and StumbleUpon and simply submit your site to each of these services. If you have a blog on your site you can submit each blog post to both of these services every time you write a new post. Before you know it you’ll have two major websites linking to your site. Now Digg and StubleUpon aren’t the only examples – there are tons of sites that you can submit your content to, so get creative!

This is a quick and easy way to get better search engine rankings as well as more traffic to your site. Make sure to come-back tomorrow for another SEO tip!
