Fusu – Investing for the Domain Inclined

I haven’t talked about Fusu on my blog yet and with the market growing quickly I thought now would be an excellent time to make a quick post about it.

For those of you who have been living under a domaining rock – Fusu is essentially a stock market for domain names. Domain owners can sell a percentage of their domain (or the entire domain itself) to investors who can buy shares in the domain. In the stock market investors buy shares of stock in a company, in Fusu investors buy shares of stock in a domain name.

While Fusu is very new and there are not too many domains available for investing – some early traders have already seen considerable profits. I still think it is too early to tell if this will indeed be the ideal stock market for domain names or if a bigger company might come along and execute this concept on a larger scale. One thing is for sure – it can’t hurt to put a little money in the market and see what happens. These are the kinds of investing topics I discuss on another blog of mine, RareWisdom.

So if you haven’t seen Fusu yet, now might be a good time to take a look and see if you can’t spot the next big domain name. Just think if you had bought shares in Microsoft when it first launched…can you find the next big .com, .net or .org?
