Last week I gave a talk at NamesCon Europe in Portugal about how to better track your domain sales funnel using my new favorite CRM Pipedrive. For my first five or so years in the domain industry I didn’t have any system for tracking my domain sales funnel.
At about the five year mark I decided – I should really keep track of inbound offers and do a better job of circling back with interested buyers that might not have had the budget in the past, but could have it now. So I turned to trusty old Microsoft Excel…which I learned was a very clunky and manual way to track my sales funnel.
A couple years later I moved to Salesforce which I was sure would solve all my problems…but it ended up creating more problems because it was so darn complex to configure and keep up-to-date. Then, last year I discovered Pipedrive and it was love at first sight.
My talk at NamesCon Europe this year was intended for any Domain Investor that would like to have a more organized system for managing their domain sales funnel. I like all of my talks to be actionable so in this talk I do a complete walkthrough of how to setup Pipedrive specifically for domain name sales.
I’ve had a number of people email me after the show asking for the video and I thought some of my readers would enjoy it as well so, here it is!
Let me know what you think and if you have any questions, comments, or you just want to heckle me about the fact that my hair is sticking up at the back for the whole damn talk…feel free to in the comments section below!
