HotelCritic.org Gets A Facelift

Lately I’ve been going through some of my favorite domains and giving them a much needed facelift. Of the 600+ domains in my portfolio about 120 are developed now and actively receiving traffic and revenue. While I’ve had some stellar performers there are some domains that I know needed a little more love to really reach their true potential – and HotelCritic.org is one of those domains.

For the past year Hotel Critic was sitting almost dormant with a few reviews and an underwhelming design. I spent a few hours this last weekend adding review from my latest hotel stays and completely revamping the layout. The end-result is a site I think has a lot of potential over the next year.

In case you didn’t know – I travel a LOT – and thus stay in hotels more than most. I absolutely love traveling all over the world and have become a good judge of hotels through this experience. I bought HotelCritic.org as a way to help share my experiences with others – but as with many projects – it was put on the back-burner for some time…well it’s time has come and I am looking forward to sharing a piece of my travel adventures with the world!

There are still a number of travel-related blogs in the works but this is really my first venture into the world of travel blogs. It takes me about 15-minutes to write a post and given that I stay in 1-2 hotels a week when I’m traveling this means a total time committment of 30 minutes maximum per week – so I think I can handle it!

So take a look at the new site design and let me know what you think…of course if you’re planning on traveling to Toronto, or Prague, or Paris, or Miami Beach – my reviews can help point you in the right direction.

It’s 11:30PM now and I’m in Melbourne Australia, still haven’t slept since I arrived here this afternoon but I’m used to the fast-paced schedule of International Business and I love every minute of it! It always amazes me that over the course of a day I can go from one part of the world to another – from the winter in California to the summer in Australia.

And on that note – I think it’s time to go to bed. So I’ll say goodnight from down-under and good morning to the rest of you!

Oh – and by the way – if you want to share hotel reviews of your own I am currently looking for contributing members. Just send me a short email about why you think you’d be a good candidate for HotelCritic.org and I’ll be happpy to add you to the team!
