If I produced more video content in 2020, what would you want them to be about?

So I’ve been thinking quite a bit about starting to put more video content on my blog. For those who remember, when I first started in the Domaining world video was my thing, I did what now feel like totally ridiculous talking head (or sitting in a chair) videos like the one below:

Yowza! Honestly, watching the first few minutes of that video made me cringe and the audio/video quality feels like I recorded it on a VHS tape 🤦‍♂️

So watching this video makes me think – yikes, let’s not do that again. At the same time, I know that it’s time for me to make video a more regular thing on my blog since that’s the way a lot of people around the world consume content, including me! While certainly plenty of people enjoy reading blogs, it’s no secret that online video consumption is growing like crazy, and I personally find myself watching a lot more video content online than I did in the past.

On top of all this, Domaining.com recently added a very cool feature where blog posts with video will show up directly in the feed. I think this is a smart move by Francois (who runs Domaining.com) and gives me yet another reason to get back on the video bandwagon.

All that being said, I want to make videos that people actually want to watch…so that’s where all of you come in. Let’s say I started out by trying to do a video a week, what would you want that video to be about? Would a talking head video drive you crazy? Would a screencast where I walk through a product or service be interesting?

I’ll hand the mic to you now, what video content would you like to see from me? I want to hear from you, comment and let your voice be heard!

Maybe interviews, but not with idiots.

Interviews with people who have found genuine success with domains.

So you post spam about .TV, then preemptively suggest anyone who disagrees with you is a troll?

You must have registered a lot of .TV names to be that desperate Patricia.

Do you even own any domains? You are probably new to the industry and hand regged a bunch of Snoopy and Charlie Brown domains that are trademarks.

Be good to try and interview some of the buyers from 2016, 2017 & 2018 top 100 sales chart from Dnjournal.com. ( Endusers mainly )

See how the business is doing after a year or 2.

Like a followup after spending 6+ figures on a domain name.
