I’m testing out a new solution for building lead gen pages on traffic domains

One of the things I told myself I would do this year that I haven’t done yet is to test out putting a few simple lead generation pages on domains that get a steady stream of type-in traffic. Well, last time I checked, there’s still time in 2020 so I decided to make it happen.

Right now, anything I do related to domain names happens on the weekend, usually on Sunday, in a 2-3 hour blog that I give myself to jam on domain-related things. So, given those time constraints I wanted to find a super simple, cheap solution that would allow me to whip out a lead gen landing page or two this weekend.

Since this is pretty far from my area of expertise I asked a friend who runs a startup in the no-code space, she recommended a solution I’ve never heard of called Unicorn Platform 🦄 .

Unicorn Platform

Looks interesting doesn’t it? Maybe I’m just a sucker for Unicorns but one nice perk is you can get started for free, no credit card required. Of course, I’m sure I’ll find out pretty quickly what you get when you pay nothing 🤷‍♂️

Part of my inspiration (or more like a reminder) to give this a go was a tweet I saw from Peter Askew a few days ago:

So thanks for that Peter! 🙌 As usual I’ll keep you all in the loop and let you know how it goes. I’m definitely no expert when it comes to building great landing pages so I’m setting my expectations low to start, that being said, I love learning new things so look forward to playing around with Unicorn Platform this weekend 🕺
