Is It Just Me Or Is .INFO Getting Hot?

.info

Lately I’ve been noticing some pretty strong .INFO sales and I think that’s pretty darn exciting. Things have been relatively quiet on the .INFO front over the last few years but 2013 feels like there’s new energy moving into this extension. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that companies are becoming more and more comfortable branding around TLDs besides .COM.

There’s no doubt that .CO and .ME have done an awesome job marketing their extensions and while .INFO has been a pretty silent player on the marketing-front I think these efforts have helped them as well.

I think this also gives a taste of what’s to come with the new gTLDs. While not every single one will take-off like a rocket ship, people are comfortable with non .COMs, and while they all want a .COM, sometimes a $10,000 – $20,000 .INFO, .CO or .ME name is a better bet than a $200,000+ .COM.

What do you think, is .INFO heating up?
