Is Retirement.net A Domain Flippers Dream?

As you can imagine, I subscribe to a number of domain brokerage email lists, my two favorites are Toby Clements and Media Options. Both Toby and Andrew always manage to get some pretty stellar domains and I have to say I was pretty excited to see Retirement.net on Toby’s list yesterday. This is an amazing domain name given the strength of the keyword which gets over 49,500 exact-match global searches every month on Google. This year Chinese.net sold for $180,000 and OnlineKredit.net sold for $100,000, now Retirement.net is being offered for only $50,000? I see some serious flipping potential here for the person who buys this name.

When it comes to lucrative niches Retirement is a space with a ton of search volume, advertisers, and – well, money. When people retire there are lots of different services they look-into from life insurance to health insurance, investment services, etc. Given how hot this niche is I am surprised to see this name priced in the same range that SportsBetting.in, BusinessEnglish.com, or Bingou.com sold for this year given that Retirement.net is such a stronger name in my opinion.

I emailed Toby today to ask him about the name and he said that they are currently offering financing on it and considering serious offers from interested buyers. I’d be surprised if this name doesn’t get picked-up pretty quickly as I honestly think this is one of the best deals I’ve seen in a while. I could see this following the same path that WebsiteHosting.com just went on which was purchased for $190,000 in February and sold for $415,000 last month. So what do you think…could this be the next big flip of the year?
