It Took Sometime But Flippa Finally Has A Reasonable Listing Fee For Domains Only Auctions

I had said many a time on Flippa and conveyed to Ophelie Lechat who has since moved to Flippa parent Sitepoint, that $29 to list a domain was just too much money. Flippa has now changed its pricing to a reasonable $9 per listing. It should be pointed out the success fee doubled from 5 % to 10 % so its not all sunshine and roses. I still like the change and that Flippa for getting more focused on pure domain sales on their platform.

You can see the updated pricing chart below:

Listing fee is lower but the success fees doubled. Not sure if we can more quality names on flippa because of the the higher success fees.

Do auctions in process still have a 5% success fee?

Hey guys, Nick from Flippa here. A recent survey of hundreds of Flippa domains sellers showed the listing fees to be the only major barrier to listing more with Flippa. Now we have addressed that, we expect that Flippa domain auctions to increase in number and quality very quickly. The success fee increase to 10% still makes us very competitive in the market. Give Flippa a go and tell us what you think!

    Hi Nick K,

How about one free (no insertion fee) listing for brand new accounts, first auction only? Help us get our feet wet… 🙂

Hey Nick, it’s a nice idea although one of the reasons we have a listing fee at all is to ensure we have quality listings in the marketplace. Removing it entirely would flood the marketplace with low quality domains, sites and apps which doesn’t help anyone. Also, keep an eye on Flippa’s mailing list or twitter for occasional promotional offers.
