My First .CO Site Is Up! Announcing Bimmer.co

I’ve been a BMW fan for over 15 years and a member of BimmerForums for probably the last five. If I were to give a list of my passions they would be:

  • Daina (my girlfriend comes first!)
  • Domaining
  • Travel
  • Cars (specifically BMW)
  • Music (I’ve been a big music lover forever!)

On this blog I cover Domaining, SEO, and affiliate marketing. I throw-in a travel adventure every now and then but the focus of this blog is Domaining. I’ve always wanted to do a travel blog and probably will do one someday when I have more time.

Now for cars. When I was in High School I started a web development company (you’d know that if you read my bio) and since I was only in High School I had a business partner. My business partner was the “Sales Guy,” he had a nice suit, had great relationship with our clients, and he drove a beautiful BMW Convertible.

Once I had the chance to drive the car and feel the road the way that you can with a BMW, I was a changed man. Now that doesn’t mean that I went-out and bought a BMW right-away, I was only 15 at the time!

In college I had a Saturn, it was a great car…until the engine exploded on the freeway. Long story for a different post. After college I bought a new Volkswagen Jetta – awesome car and I enjoyed it every minute I had it. Still, it wasn’t a BMW, but right-out of college I couldn’t afford a BMW!

Finally at the age of 26 I reached a point in my life financially where I felt comfortable making the switch. I’ve had a 325xi for three years now and absolutely love my car. It’s made driving fun since the moment I got it and we’ve had tons of great adventures in the car.

So why am I telling you my life story here? You probably want to hear about how I built the site, what tools I used, SEO techniques I used, etc. Well that’s not what this post is about 🙂

This post is a story about how I got a domain I really wanted and developed it into a website. It’s still in the very early stages and there are plenty of new features I’ll be adding over the next few months. However what I have up now is the beginning of my new blog about, what else – Bimmers!

I’ll be writing for this blog every single day just like I do for MorganLinton.com – it’s a topic I’m reading about all the time anyways so plenty to talk about. The blogging community within the BMW space looks fairly small with forums mostly dominating most of the space.

Over the next few months I’ll be link-building with other like-minded site owners. I will also be using article-writing services as well as linking from other related sites that I own. This isn’t going to be a build-it and forget-it type of project. Instead it’s a blog I’ve been thinking about doing for a long time now in a niche that I am very passionate about.

Also – I’m fairly certain that it’s one of the first 100 .CO sites build but I’m still waiting for confirmation 🙂

Check-out Bimmer.co now and stay-tuned over the next few months as I’ll keep everyone informed of how the site ranks and how the traffic grows over time. I’ll be launching a few more .CO sites as well so we can get some better texture around how these will rank over time as well.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m an optimistic guy. I’m hoping that using the same SEO and link-building techniques I’ve used with my .US, .NET, .COM, and .ORG domains will work with .CO. If it does I think Bimmer.co has a bright future and .CO developers have something to be excited about!
