My Last Startup Monday: Announcing StartupNook.com!

TGIM everyone and welcome to my very last Startup Monday here on MorganLinton.com! Don’t worry though, this doesn’t mean an end to my startup coverage but instead a dramatic expansion and new adventure! As you all may know my fiance Daina and I have been working on a new web software startup since Q1 of this year. What started as a simple idea has evolved into a full-scale platform and API that is already being used by 30+ beta testers all over the world. You may remember it under our code name, Xelot, however as we got closer to launch we decided on our final name choice – Appraiso!

Since the startup world has gone from an interest to a part of our everyday life we thought it was time to really go deeper and share our experiences. So I am excited to announce that there’s a new startup blog on the block and it’s called Startup Nook. Since we are just weeks away from launching our very first startup we thought the timing was perfect. We’ll be sharing all the gritty details from the good, the bad, and the ugly as we take our first startup into the real world. After hearing the experience of hundreds of startups this year we know that it’s not going to be easy and we won’t be afraid to share our failures along with our successes every step of the way. Running a startup isn’t easy and we’re not only going to be sharing what works for us, we’ll also be sharing what doesn’t!

Along with covering our own startup adventures we will also be covering the startup space here in Los Angeles. There is an incredible startup scene that is growing here and LA is quickly becoming known as Silicon Beach. Daina and I will be interviewing some of the top founders in LA and sharing their adventures in building a Los Angeles-based startup. Of course we will continue to attend some of the top startup events and sharing live coverage to keep our readers on the pulse of the startup scene.

MorganLinton.com will continue to focus on what my readers clearly enjoy – Domaining and Domain Development. I plan to put a lot more focus on case studies and going step-by-step through my process of building brands. I will also be covering more of my end-user sales experiences as I continue to see great results selling domains to end-users this year. I’m going to return my blog to its original mission – sharing my adventures in domain name investing!

So there’s good news for everyone! If you’ve loved my coverage of startups, get ready because there’s going to be more coverage than ever before! If you liked hearing about us building our very first startup, prepare to come-along for the adventure! As for MorganLinton.com get ready to more of the topics that you know and love and my complete focus on Domain Investing, Domain Development, and Brand Building.

After running this blog for over four years I can honestly say it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I can’t wait to take this to the next-level and start a new blogging adventure with Daina. What started as a hobby quickly turned-into a real business and we’ve gone through it all together. Get ready for the next evolution and an even deeper look inside my business, how we build our brands, and most importantly, how you can learn from our successes and failures to turn your own domain names into brands!

As always – thanks for reading and get ready – the adventure has just begun!
