NamesCon moves online, and with it, onto .ONLINE

NamesCon Online 2020

As we all know the concept of a conference has gone the way of the dodo, for now. It’s crazy to think that earlier this year we all met in-person, shock hands with each other, packed into conference rooms, all just a month before a global pandemic swept the world. I am really glad NamesCon happened when it did this year because it gave us all one last opportunity to see each other in-person before we all hunkered down for the foreseeable future.

I’ve always been impressed with Soren, Helga, Timo and the whole team behind NamesCon, they’re great people and they really care about what they do. Which is why I wasn’t surprised to hear they were planning an online version of the event.

This week NamesCon announced that along with moving the event online, they’re also moving the website to a In addition they’ve announced some pretty cool options for attending the event like free tickets for newcomers and a special package bundled with training from DNAcademy, here’s an overview of the options:

NamesCon Online Ticket Options

Along with new registration options NamesCon also has put together some pretty innovative ways to run sessions and still allow people to connect up one-on-one via video chat.

Oh and if you register now you still get a physical tote bag, I have mine dating back from the first NamesCon and this one feels like it’s pretty special given the circumstances.

Congrats to the whole NamesCon team to innovating in the face of a major global change, I can’t wait for the show and hope to see all of you there!
