Scroll Kit Acquired by WordPress – A Hint Of What’s To Come In WordPress 4.0?

Thought that only Facebook was in the acquisition game lately? Think again. WordPress has also been continuing to build its empire and this week marks another step forward with the acquisition of Scroll Kit. So what is Scroll Kit?

“Our objective was to create a process for making the web that was more like drawing on a piece of paper. A visual tool that was easy for most people to pick up, but could take them to a place that was uniquely their own.” (source – ScrollKit.com)

Couple this with the fact that Weebly just picked up another $35M in funding and it’s clear that the race is on. This new acquisition by WordPress should help them make the platform even more visual and creative.

Congrats to Scroll Kit and WordPress, I’m thinking we might just see some of this integration in WordPress 4.0 maybe?

I’ve been occasionally using Scroll kit since it’s conception. It was full of bugs and extremely frustrating at first, but this seems to be fixed, as a WYSIWYG its great for landers if desired.

Looking forward to what WP has to offer with this acquisition; WP is the the best build platform in my eyes.
