.SEXY & .TATTOO Go Live…Now If I Could Just Buy One

I was excited about .SEXY and .TATTOO going live today. While I don’t think either is worth spending thousands of dollars on there are a few names in each I’d like. Unfortunately it looks like there are some problems on the backend and registrars are allowing you to buy names that aren’t actually available. I don’t think I’ll buy more than 2-3 domains in each of these TLDs but there are a handful that I would like to have.

I don’t think I’ve seen this particular problem before and am sure it will be resolved soon, the question is, what will be left after it is resolved? Konstantinos did a good post about the problem earlier today and some people mentioned reserving names at multiple registrars and having them all come back as unavailable. It does look like 101Domains does have the highest success rate so far but that could just be luck of the draw.

I don’t think this will be a huge problem for Uniregistry as I do think the best .SEXY names will sell one way or another. The complexity will be in who gets the name which in some cases it looks like could be the second or third person to buy them. Either way I’ll keep trying for a few, I don’t think there’s any pot of gold here but I sure would like to nab Morgan.sexy 🙂

Most of your domains seem to be backwards, or forced into the extension, I see very little commercial appeal.

I shared my secret, by revealing that 101Domain delivered. 😀

Keep in mind with all those .sexy registrations: no pornography is allowed on the landing page, per the Registry rules.

Interesting, while I ordered and paid for three of them, two are in my account and one, Moms.tattoo, was pulled away and I was reimbursed. Hate those shenanigans!

Dang it. I was up all night registering tons of .tattoo and .sexy domains and it seems none took. Nah, just kidding. Who would want one?

I picked up a few this afternoon, I think local should do well.
    Warsaw.tattoo, Cologne.tattoo, Poison.tattoo, Thorn.tattoo

I’ll be interested to see the avg registration length of .sexy names in 10 years – I have a feeling there will be a lot of novelty registrations.

Lots of good names went. I personally preferred the marketing/promo type generic names when I considered buying officially.sexy

I have several ideas how it could be used for many different brands.

I think Frank will have made his money back already from all those new registrations!

    Thanks for the post,

With this word search and find Sexy in 30 minutes 150 domain names. Com, two words not registered, well I increased my portfolio every day that passes awaiting results if I am a domain investor principle, that like, if no

To be or not to be, that is the question here does not end the way accept victory or defeat is wise.

Another way of making money from the new TLDs – is to buy shares in the registries e.g. the big boys Google or Amazon etc… but also a little start-up in the UK called Top Level Domain Holdings (TLDH) they are getting lots of the new TLDs inc. .London and you could make more money by buying shares in the co. rather than actually buying new domain names – just a thought.

A “bump”? Gee thanks for the apology Frank. Unfortunately that does little to help me get my $ back – right now its tied up in useless credit at a registrar I never use (thanks to the usual registrars not partaking) in your launch.
