Small Business Sunday: Five Alternatives to Salesforce.com

A few weeks ago I discussed using Salesforce.com as a CRM solution. I got some great feedback on this post and good interest in CRM’s so thought now would be a good time to follow-up with more than just one option! Salesforce.com is definitely the leader of the pack when it comes to CRM software, however there are some great alternatives that might offer more than enough for your business.

PC World did a great article about this exact topic today. They recommend the following five CRM solutions:

  1. Zoho
  2. Landslide
  3. SugarCRM
  4. Insight.ly
  5. Stitch Labs

I have never tried any of these, in fact Zoho is the only one of the list I’ve heard of. Over the next few weeks I’ll be testing these out for myself along with a few other CRM solutions to do a much more complete CRM roundup. Since we’re trying to pick a CRM for my business, why not share what we learn with all of you?

    Hi Morgan – we went through a period of evaluating and implimenting a CRM solution ourselves – its quite an exercise.
    We tried most of the ones you have listed and to varying degrees they are all good, the one that came out top on your list was salesforce.com. However their pricing was just too much for the stage our business was at.
    We eventually decided on “HighriseHQ” from 37 signals the company behind “Basecamp”- they came in at a great price point and to be honest, even as we have grown today, delivers all that we need withn many additional features, to date, still being underutilised.
