Startup Lessons Learned Conference Preview

I am unbelievably excited about the Startup Lessons Learned conference starting this morning in San Francisco. Daina and I drove-up yesterday from Los Angeles and are up bright and early getting ready for the event. I will be live-blogging throughout the day but wanted to provide a quick preview of what’s to come.

The conference is taking place at the Hotel Nikko in San Francisco’s Union Square and brings together some really exciting entrepreneurs to talk about what it takes to run a successful lean startup.

To kick-off the conference Eric Ries, the former CTO of IMVU and one of BusinessWeek’s  2007 Best Young Entrepreneur’s in Tech will be talking about the state of the lean startup movement. Since this is all new to us, we are very interested in learning about this space and understanding more about the entire lean startup methodology. Eric’s bio is phenomenal and I really can’t think of a better person to get the group excited and ready to rock for the day!

The keynote will follow featuring Mitch Kapor who is one of the entrepreneurs responsible for modern computing and many of the successful companies we all know and love like Real Networks, Mozilla, and many more. He currently runs Kapor Capital and actively invests in seed stage startups. While I’ve been to a lot of great keynotes at conferences all over the world, I can honestly say that I’m looking forward to this one the most. Mitch has helped bring to life some of the companies and technologies that I use every single day and I can’t wait to hear what he has to say!

The list goes on with absolutely groundbreaking entrepreneurs talking about what they have done and how they got where they are today. I get inspired just reading their bio’s so can’t imagine how exciting it will be to see everyone in person and hear their stories and advice.

Below is a short video I created this morning, I’m just too excited to just stick with words so watch below and enjoy – it’s going to be an amazing day!
