Technology is an amazing thing in so many ways, yet it can also be an incredibly overwhelming thing at the same time. Now that the phone in your pocket also handles your email people are sending more emails than ever, and expecting faster responses than ever. Just think, twenty years ago when you came home from work there was often no way you could do more work. No “ding” of your email at 9:00PM pulling you away from what you are doing.
Yes, we are in an age of distraction, but there are different levels of distraction and like most things in life, it all comes down to your approach. Luckily, there is a general method to the madness that you can follow created by a guy named Merlin Mann. It is aptly called Inbox Zero and he has a famous talk presented at Google in Mountain View that I highly recommend you watch if you, like so many people, are on a quest for Inbox Zero.
