The world’s first email between two Handshake domains

Yesterday, history was made, an email was sent between two Handshake domains for the first time ever. I’ll be honest, I didn’t know this hadn’t been done yet so it’s news to me and likely to you. I found out this morning on Twitter, here’s the tweet:

First Handshake Domain Email

In case you can’t read the text in the image, see below for the actual first email ever sent from one Handshake domain to another:

World's first handshake domain email

Now I’ll be the first to admit I don’t know much about Handshake domains, but I can tell you I’m definitely interested in learning more and very encouraged by the community that is forming around it. One of the key players in the Handshake domain world goes by @handshakejesus on Twitter and he was nice enough to gift morganlinton to me.

I’m not quite sure if HandshakeJesus runs Handshake.org but I’m guessing they do. I realize I’m probably long overdue to hop on a Zoom with this guy and learn more so HandshakeJesus if you’re reading this, we should chat!

Funny enough, I also got an offer on the one and only Handshake domain I have – morganlinton, this morning:

NameBase Domain Offer

At first I thought that there’s no point in countering, why the heck would I sell my own name. But then I thought, well, there’s always a price, so I countered at 1,000,000 HNS.

Handshake Counter Offer

I’ll admit, I’m getting more intrigued by the day so I’ll be doing a deeper dive into Handshake domains over the next few months and as always, I’ll share what I learn with all of you.
