Three Black Friday Deals For WordPress Geeks

I’ll be one of the first to admit that I’m a bit of a geek, okay I’m a big geek. WordPress has changed my business and my life and there isn’t a day that goes by where WordPress doesn’t play some kind of a role in my life. So as you can imagine I’m pretty excited about some of the awesome deals for WordPress Black Friday Deals happening today.

So I thought I would share my three favorite deals so that fellow WordPress Geeks like myself can save some dough on something you’ll probably end-up buying anyways. Here they are, in no particular order:

  1. 20% Off WooThemes – if you’ve been reading my blog for a while then you know I’m a bit of a Woo Themes fanatic. They make some of the best themes on the planet and being a part of their Theme Club has saved me a small fortune over the years while giving me access to some of the best-designed themes out there. You can get 20% off today which is a pretty sweet deal.
  2. 20% Off 6 Months Of WordPress Hosting at ZippyKid – I use ZippyKid to host this blog as well as nine other WordPress sites that my company operates. I still swear by Zippy Kid because their support is honestly the best I’ve ever had, period. I have spoken to the CEO on the phone, he’s a real person and he cares about his customers. 20% off for 6 months is a significant savings so if you’ve been looking to upgrade your hosting, today is the day.
  3. 30% Off Standard Theme – many people have asked me what theme I use on this blog, it’s called Standard Theme and it rocks. Today you can get 30% thanks to their Black Friday special. If you’ve been looking for a great theme for your own personal blog I highly recommend it.

    Morgan:

In the past few years, you swore by Hostgator.com. What changed?

I’ve been using Hostgator.com for almost two years and they have really been awesome with customer service for me – not a real “GEEK”. They keep it simple and easy for me.

Please let me know why you stopped promoting Hostgator.com and now like ZippyKid better.

    Thanks,

    Scott Bender Orlando Florida

I thought you were getting rid of your advertising? What changed? Did I miss an update post?

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!

@Scott – I have done many posts about Zippy Kid including the exact reasons why I moved from Hostgator to Zippy Kid, my experiences trying out WPEngine and much more. I’ll send you an email with links to all the posts so you can go back in time and understand why I made the move which has been a huge improvement!

@Troy – getting rid of my advertising? Why the heck would I do that? I have amazing sponsors that have been dedicated advertisers for 4+ years with over 80% renewing every year. Definitely have no plans to get rid of my advertising but do make sure that I remove ads from sponsors who’s services I don’t use any more to make sure I’m only advertising services that I myself use.

I see. It didn’t make sense to me when I thought you said it. I think it was when you switched over to a new theme. I must have just gotten the wrong impression.
