Three Years Ago I Married My Soulmate

Daina Morgan Wedding Malibu

Three years ago I married the love of my life, my best friend, and my soulmate. Faster forward to today and I can tell you that not only is the magic still there, it’s stronger than ever.

Over the last three years Daina and I have worked hard to weave our lives together so that we spent a majority of our time together. When the photo above was taken Daina would spend her days at UCLA and I spent my days at Sonos, that amounted to 50-60 hours a week that we spent away from each other.

Our dream was to change that and to go even further and work together to change the world. Fast-forward to today and those 50-60 hours that we used to spend away from each other, we now spend together, changing the world. We are living our dream and it feels amazing.

What started out as a two-person company with an angel investment from Mark Cuban has now become a venture-backed startup and what I call all the time, “The Dream Team”

It has been an incredible journey and I couldn’t imagine going on this adventure with anyone else. Our team is continuing to grow and doing this together is so satisfying and so incredibly humbling. Some of you might remember when we first dipped our toe in the water of working together with Appraiso.

It was this experience, spanning nights and weekends for over a year that we learned we didn’t just love each other, we loved working together. Daina is a strong CEO, a brilliant leader, and a truly incredible person, she is my best friend, the love of my life, and without a doubt, my soulmate.

Given everything that has happened over the last three years I can’t wait to see where our lives are three years from now!

Wow! Three years already. It seems like yesterday that you announced it.

Last year I married the love of my life and “my soulmate” too, and it truly is an awesome thing to be on the same team with the one you love.

Thanks everyone! What an amazing day! The even more amazing part is that we have been together for almost nine years, okay now that’s making me feel old 🙂

Morgan, congrats buddy! What is sad, is that everybody I know who married there “soulmate” ended up getting divorced within 10 years of marriage. The reason for that, is there is no perfect marriage, and when that was challenged they didn’t seek counseling, help, and it takes lot’s of work, especially when you have kids. I been married for 18 years myself, and been with my wife for 27 years total, and it takes lot’s of work, comittment, compromise, and especially trust.

I see great things for you and your wife, and keep up the great job! Very proud of you, and congrats again to you and your wife Morgan!

    Thanks, Jim
