Weekend Musings – A Very Sad Weekend

It has been a very sad twenty-four hours. Daina and I have both been closely following the terrible tragedy that took place in Connecticut yesterday. So sad, and our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone impacted by this terrible terrible event. I cried several times last night, and several times today. I still can’t believe something like this could happen and I can’t imagine how hard this is for those impacted by the event.

I’m not sure I can write much more today, we just got back from a bike ride and are watching the latest updates on the news. Both crying, both sending as much of our energy, thoughts and prayers to those impacted and hoping that we can all work together to make the world a better place.

That’s all for today.

As a mom of a 2 and 13 yr. old, I’ve cried and have been in a fog since the tragedy happened.
This is disturbing beyond belief on so many levels. I hope we as a nation do not become desensitized to these types of killings.

I believe in my heart this most recent tragedy will bring us all closer together regardless of the political position you have toward guns. Furthermore, mental illness is a real problem in our society, which is leading to more and more violent outcomes.

    Heaven help us all.
