Weekend Musings – Hiking The Misty Sierra Madres

Hello and welcome to the evening edition of Weekend Musings. Today Daina and I went on an incredible 6.5 hour hike in the Sierra Madres. If you don’t know where that is, it’s about 45 minutes from our front door and has some pretty serious hikes. This is one of the things I really love about LA, it doesn’t take long until you’re out in the middle of nature, or back in the hustle-and-bustle of the city.

The hike we took ascended into the clouds so we actually spent most of our afternoon, in a cloud! It was absolutely breathtaking and considering we hiked for over six hours, an awesome workout! Here’s a couple of pictures from our adventure:

After the hike we came home, took a hot tub (amazing!) and got back to working on a new UI design we are putting-together for Appraiso. That’s our plan for tonight and all day tomorrow, we have five version already slated for this year and we’re getting closer everyday to releasing V2.

In this version we will have some very cool features that customers have been asking for, and a sparkling new UI that will make the platform even more easy and fun to use. Appraiso is an everyday thing for us, and it’s been an incredible journey. Seeing people use Appraiso every day is a great feeling, but it also pushes us to continue to innovate and do more. We have some groundbreaking features in V2, many inspired by some of our most avid users.

Tomorrow night I am heading-off to New Zealand, yes – there’s never a dull moment! I hope you’re all having a great weekend!
