Weekend Musings – Hollywood Rocks + ICANN Gets Demolished By Domaining Bloggers + Malibu Beach

Hello and welcome to my first Weekend Musings as a 31 year-old, feels similar to last week, just a bit wiser! We went out last night in Hollywood and had one heck of a night, I’d tell you more but as I’ve always said, I don’t blog about nightlife, you just have to be there! This is one of the things I love about LA, you can enjoy the hustle-and-bustle of Hollywood and then go hiking or to the beach the next day. Today we’ll be heading to Malibu to spend some time on the beach and enjoy one of the awesome restaurants on the water.

Malibu Beach

You’ll notice that the title has changed from my standard “Weekend Musings” to now cover some of the topics in my musings. Just an idea, let me know if you find it interesting or annoying. I’ve covered Hollywood and Malibu, so what about ICANN and the thumping they got from Domaining Bloggers?

This week ICANN was featured in just about every Domaining Blog on the planet, many multiple times. In case you spent the last week in a cave, ICANN had a software error that delayed the new TLD process, then a security loophole that allowed users to see other users files…oy! These technical snafus caused ICANN to delay the new TLD process shutting the system down and extending the application period through April 20th. Yes, this is a pretty big screw-up, and the Domaining Blog community was all over it, here are some of the highlights from this week:
