Hello, happy Sunday and welcome to my weekend musings. I have to say this was one great weekend. While we usually spend every weekend working, this weekend my Dad was in town visiting so we got a chance to play tour guide and adventure around Austin. Here’s a photo I took on Saturday while we were Water Biking on Lake Austin:
I know what you’re thinking now. What is Water Biking? Well it is exactly as it sounds, a bike that operates on the water. Here’s what they look like:
While I do love kayaking and have to say that Austin has some absolutely amazing kayaking spots, I’m very impressed with water biking. If you ever visit Austin and want to give it a try, I would recommend checking-out Austin WaterBikes.
Along with water biking we also went to an art festival, saw some great live music, ate some amazing food (I’m a big fan of Peche, a restaurants a few blocks from our place), and saw a great theater adaptation of The Graduate.
Today we had brunch at Annie’s (one of our favorite brunch spots) and then did Yoga at Core Power Yoga which has become a Sunday tradition for me. It was a great weekend and always awesome to spend time with my Dad and to show him Austin for the first time.
We have a very big week ahead at Fashion Metric so I’m actually heading to bed very soon. A new member of the team joins us tomorrow – can’t wait! Oh and if you haven’t talked to your Dad in a while, stop what you’re doing and give him a call. Happy Sunday!
