What? A Domain Auction With Reasonable Prices?

Domain Auctions have had a hard time the last few years, in many cases due to completely unrealistic price expectations. Most end-users don’t know the first thing about domain auctions whichthat’s that end-user pricing makes no sense because there’s a 99.9% chance you’ll be selling to another Domainer

So I was very excited to see that Afternic and Snapnames had teamed up to bring one of the best auction lists and prices I’ve seen in a long time. It is clear that both companies have worked hard to secure some great inventory at some very fair prices.

Below are some of my favorites, and yes, I will be bidding in this auction:

KayakTrailers.com – these can cost $1,000 – $3,000 and I know from our kayaking brand that we make about $350 for each trailer we sell. With a reserve between $1,001 – $2,500 I see this as a very solid buy.

LocalPubs.com – awesome choice for a directory or a service like “Around Me” that helps find pubs around you. Again a nice low and realistic reserve between $1,001 and $2,500.

SiteTemplate.com – with CMS platforms like WordPress kicking ass and taking names this has a lot of potential.

ThrowRugs.com – huge category, good development candidate but also could be a nice flip to one of the big guys in the space.

AcneHelp – as someone who used to have bad acne I know how big andexpensive this market is. There are tons of products with great affiliate programs in this niche.

The auction ends in a couple of weeks so there’s still plenty of time to do your research and pickup a few great development or flip candidates.

You can check out the auction on Snapnames to see all the domains in auction.
