What Is A One Word .INFO Worth To You?

This morning I wrote an article about the sweet spot in the Domain Investing world, one and two word .COMs. However, as I said in my post, I am also a big fan of other TLDs like .ME, .CO, and .TV, albeit at lower price-points than their .COM counterparts.

While a meaningful one word .COM can be worth six and sometimes seven figures, one word .ME, .CO, .TV and many other TLDs can sell for four or five figures. There are also exceptions to this like Meet.me which sold for $450,000 and is a great example of how alternative TLDs can still be of great interest to end-user.

However, .COM is still king and has the most liquidity, but in one words particularly there are always buyers. So now the question is, what is a one word .INFO worth? Some of the best data ever collected on this is actually being created as we speak with the latest Go Daddy .INFO auction.

Based on this data, it looks like a one word .INFO will range between $1,000 – $15,000 realistically. The top domain, Cancer.info is at  $11,015 with less than two days to go. I think this sets a high in and around the $15K range and on the low end I think you should be able to get at least $1K for most decent one-word .INFO’s. If you look at the distribution of prices it is clear that the sweet spot for one-word .INFOs is under $3,000 so if you’re hoarding all your one word .INFOs for $50,000+ prepare to be disappointed, or to wait a long time.

While there will be exceptions, this is a good gauge of how the market is right now. Sure, you could sell a .INFO for $50,000 but the data that is being created on Go Daddy auctions right now does represent the real liquidity and pricing of premium, one word .INFOs right now. Below is a list of some of names at the top of the range:

Cancer.info – $11,015
City.info – $4,905
HealthCare.info – $4,515
Finance.info – $4,105
Property.info – $3,505
Loans.info – $3,205
Doctor.info – $3,004
Medical.info – $2,605
Diet.info – $2,525

So now I turn to you and ask, what’s a one word .INFO worth to you? Comment and let your voice be heard!
