What’s In A Number? A Lot When It Comes To Domain Names

3, 4, 5 – they might all seem like your average run of the mill numbers to most, but to numeric domain name investors they mean a whole lot more. The numeric domain name market is incredibly hot right now and that trend doesn’t look to be changing anytime soon. 345.com sold for a whopping $800,000 this year and even 4N .COM’s like 9595.com were able to lock-in six-figure deals.

When it comes to understanding numeric domain names the team over at TLD Registry have done a great job of putting together some very informative articles on the value and meaning behind specific numbers. It’s a new series on their blog and so far they have covered the number seven and three, you can dig into each of these below:

The Number Seven

The Number Three

Here’s a bit more background about numeric domains from the Chinese Domaining Masterclass:

Numerics in Chinese culture are incredibly popular for many reasons, such as being used as symbols, puns, references, and units of innate meaning. China’s culture has embraced the use of numerics, and having a foundational understanding of the role of numerics in Chinese culture can help you tremendously as you continue your journey of Chinese IDN investing.

So if you’ve been interested in getting started investing in numeric domains but didn’t know where to start, now you do. Enjoy!

I bet Elliot cries into his cereal everytime he reads about NNN.com big sales. That 887.com he had would be worth big bucks right now. But on a positive note he took the money at the time and did rather well with it.
