Why I Use DomainTools Brand Monitor + How It Just Got Even Better

As I’ve said before, DomainTools is probably the tool that I find myself using the most on a daily basis. Along with being the best tool on the planet for looking up WHOIS info and history, it really is a swiss army knife of domain tools (hence the name DomainTools). For years now I’ve been using their Brand Alert service to make sure that nobody is squatting on any of my brands.

Yes, that’s right, if someone registers MorganLintonStinks.com, I’ll know about it thanks to Brand Alert. Now DomainTools has announced their next version of the service and as per usual, they’ve gone above-and-beyond.

First things first, the name has changed. The service is now called Brand Monitor, and when you get an email from them, that is called a Brand Alert. While they were always monitoring .COM, .NET, .ORG, .INFO, .BIZ, and .US the new version now looks at relevant domain registrations across over 50 of the largest TLDs in the world.

You can monitor up to ten brand with a Pro Membership and once you setup a new monitor it runs forever so you can focus on running your business, while DomainTools keeps track of your brand. Hats off to DomainTools for another nice addition to an already rockin’ service!
