Will .CLUB Overtake .GURU? Pre-Registrations Start Today

If you’re at DOMAINfest this year it’s hard to miss .CLUB, and with some thinking that it could beat .GURU in registration numbers in the first week, this is definitely one to watch. Today you can pre-register .CLUB names for $14.99 which I have to say is a nice reprieve from the insanely high pricing we’ve seen on some other TLDs like .CEO.

.CLUB hosted the opening night party at DOMAINfest and, as the drinks continued to flow, decided to extend the party even longer. The results? Well as you know I don’t blog about nightlife, so let’s just say that everyone had a blast. Here’s a few photos from the event:

Today .CLUB takes the stage for the morning keynote at 10:00AM. If you haven’t heard much about .CLUB or met the people behind it this is definitely a great way to learn more about the vision they have for the TLD.

As I’ve said many times before, it’s the people behind the TLD that make all the difference and if you meet anyone from .CLUB I think you’ll quickly see why this is a TLD to watch. Now grab some coffee and head on over to the keynote!

    April fools, right Morgan?

That’s like asking if .STUPID will overtake .RETARDED.

    Clearly, both will miserably fail.

It’s ok. I don’t expect you to publish this.

@Montana – no problem publishing, everyone is entitled to their opinion. It’s all about data in the end right? The numbers will show over the next 3-5 years, I just believe that we are moving into a time where people will have no problem remembering something.something, to think that until the end of time people will only think of something.com is insane IMO 🙂

It’s like all the people who told me they would never get a cellphone, of course they all have them now. There are MAJOR habit changes going on right now, you might not like them, but you can’t ignore them.
