This has been an incredibly busy week and also marks our third week of travel in a row…and yes we’re also going to SF next week so it will continue. It all started at 2:30AM on Monday, yes, that was the time I set my alarm for so we could leave by 3AM to catch our 5AM flight to LA.
eTail West is one of three main tradeshows that we attend each year, the other two being IRCE and Shop.org. While eTail West is the smallest by attendance (I believe there are around 3,000 attendees this year) it happens to be one of the best shows to get more dedicated time with key decision-makers at some of the top retailers around the world.
Daina, myself and Key (our first hire and Product Manager) are at the show and today alone we beat the meeting goal we had for the entire show, so suffice it to say, it was a very good day. The booth was buzzing with people throughout the day and we had the chance to meet with some of the top apparel brands and retailers in the world, I still feel like I need to pinch myself because it all feels so surreal!
I think we nailed it with the perfect swag at the show as well – a pair of sunglasses with an every so subtle Fashion Metric logo embossed on the front. The show is in Palm Springs where it’s pretty hard to go outside without sunglasses and we spotted a ton of people outside the convention center sporting a pair of FM shades.
This morning the conference started at 7:20AM and tomorrow it starts at 7:45AM so it’s time for bed, another exciting day awaits! If you want to learn more about the conference you can read about it here and if you want to read about the trends we predicted would we’d see this year at eTail West, feel free to check-out this post on the FM blog.
